ok, i put £5 each way on a horse that came first.

so, i paid a tenner in total, and got £32 or 42 back on odds of 9/4.

can someone explain, thanks!! :)

It was calculated incorrectly by the settler - or you have made a mistake quoting the odds you took.

You should have picked up £23.50 or £24.06 depending on the ew odds 1/4 or 1/5.
It doesn't really pay to back ew at odds under 5/1 or 6/1 as if your horse gets placed then you will still be out of pocket. If your horse was only placed at 9/4 then you would have only picked up £7.25 or
£7.81.

Unless their was a withdrawn horse before the off and a rule 4 was also applied and removed x pence in the pound.

I will have to start using your bookies Marcus,if they give you MORE money when there is a rule 4 :wink :D

hi sgt..looks like you were paid out for a win of 9/2...well done, but as has been already said, not really a good price for each way...6/1 plus makes more sense..but a wins a win..great stuff!
