Laying horses (Finding losers) is no easier than finding winners. It is in effect odds-on betting, unless you lay odds-on horses. The bonus is that you have more horses running for you. You still need to put the work in to find False Favourites. (There are some; and surprise, surprise, even they win now and then.)

Maybe, the only way to make money on the exchanges, is to use them as an exchange should be used and trade. The snag is you need a good bank to start with, unless you are happy to make tiny profits and build up over time... a lora lorra time! You also need most of your horse to win, to make the trade worthwhile. That's been my experience at least.
So I 'lay, back and trade', as and when it suits the moment.

Good points though :)

It is easier to profit from Win bets than Lays as you have no overheads on Win bets.
