Hi all,

Been offline because my pc went majorly wrong. Anyway, just got XP followed by my internet reinstalled and would like opinions on the best software to get for FREE.

- Browser? Had Avant before.
- Any tweaks/anti spyware etc
- anything basically as I've got a clean pc to fill up :laugh

Ooo

Opera
Spybot
Adaware
Flashget
Hijackthis
Spywareguard
Startup CP
Winace
Zonealarm

Just search for the names on Google along with 'download'

Mailwasher Pro to filter your e-mail, I can help with the erm.... registration :D Agent if you want to try downloading binaries from the newsgroups, again I can help with that, also Shareaza for file sharing purposes.

You'll want the usual spyware stuff - Ad-aware, SPybot etc, of course your AV and firewall software - I expect you already have that up an running anyway!

Winrar for opening zip / rar and other archives. Irfan View for graphics manipulation.

I'm sure Keith will have a good list of stuff for you!

Control Panel - Regional And Language Options - Languages (tab) - Details (button)

Make sure English (UK) is the default

You can always try Netscape but it's a big beast :)

You also need to download all the poker rooms :)
