I'm currently ordering components to build my mother a pc.

First query, she will be getting a Samsung SM152V 15ins TFT 0.297 61khz monitor, mainly for space saving. She wont be playing games, mainly just net browsing, excel/word etc. Will 32mb onboard graphics suffice for running this or will I need to get a graphics card?

Second query, I will be connecting her pc to mine, how would I go about this in the most cost effective manner. Dont need anything flashy, just want to share my broadband connection with her. Both MB's have 10/100 LAN connections, will a simple cable suffice? If so, what cable?

Thanks in advance, bare in mind, we're on a budget :)

Two PCI network cards and cable, that's the network done.

On board graphics is fine. You can always install another card later if she wants to play Quake!!

Cheers Keith, will the onboard LAN connections be suitable or will I need to buy PCI network cards?

Also, any ideas of the cable I need?

Thanks.

Onboard is the same, just measure how much cable you need Cat5 RJ45
