Betfair Minimum Bet Size

I seem to remember reading somewhere that it was possible to put on a bet with Betfair less than their £2 limit. I've done a search but haven't founf anything. Is it still possible?, and if so can someone tell me how it's done

Submit your £2 bet at odds alot higher (lower if lay) as to avoid getting matched.

Then change your stake, the difference being how much you want to stake eg. change an unmatched £2 bet to £3 (assuming to you to place a £1 bet). Then cancel the initial £2 bet leaving your £1 bet which should be adjusted to odds you actually want.
