Hi Guys,
I presume I am being or have been attacked due to this message being displayed on boot up and shutdown.....!
¨ ACCESS VIOLATION AT ADDRESS ********* IN MODULE BMONITOR.DLL READ OF ADDRES ************
What does it mean and what can I do...?
Thanks..

Just search on Google for that DLL file, it may be corrupt and just needs replacing. You'll need to download a new one & search on your system for it.

I wasn't even aware that there was a dynamic link library called bmonitor!
The only things I can think of (and this is a wild guess based on the name you've given) are Windows Server bmonitor which is part of their Automated Deployment Services - unlikely; or some kind of third-party bandwidth monitoring software - more likely.
Without further clues it won't be easy to track down the cause though.

All I can find is that it is a 'bandwidth monitor', if you have one installed, take it off, and put it back again.
or this....http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/WindowsServ/2003/all/ads/en-us/Default.asp?url=/resources/documentation/WindowsServ/2003/all/ADS/en-us/cmd_bmpart.asp

Haha - bmonitor access violation is almost a googlewhack (apart from being 3 words and one not in the dictionary!) :laugh

Probably only of use if you are using HipLinkXS.

Depends how long you've had this message but if you're on XP, I'd take a look at doing a system restore to a point before it began occurring.
Make sure you create a back-up of your website first though :D

Just rename it, and boot up, see what happens, you can always rename it back in safe mode.
