I have just upgraded to BT broadband from Broadband basic. On Basic I had to disable my internet connection when I logged of. Do I still have to disable it or do I leave it on all the time please.

You should be able to leave it on. Make sure you have good AV & Firewall. And download Microsoft Spyware software.
