I have used it before Piggy and it is very good. I dont download often (hardly ever) but I download some radio comedy shows and found it an excellent way of filesharing.

i use 'azureus' to download torrents. and a site i would reccomend is 'torrent spy'
another good piece of software is limewire, not bit-torrent but bloody good.
Still falling into the same brackets there Presto. :)
Azureus is a fantastic client for managing multiple torrent downloads, and looks and feels like a p2p, but is just a client that contains your torrents.
'Torrent Reactor' is another good source.
As for Limewire, it's the best p2p I have come across. :D

The new version of SHAREAZA uses the Bit Torrent network as well now.

i will give torrent reactor a go john, as azureus seems to be causing my computer to crash when i have 4 or more downloads going.

I prefer eMule to torrents as a rule, but torrents do have the benefit of generally higher speeds from startup. I'd reccomend Azureus (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/) for your client, and this website (http://searcher.ibonsai.org/webbased/) to search for your desired torrents. Hope that helps.

Have you tried updating your version of Java, Presto? There are certain conflicts between particular versions of the Azureus client and Java. Try uninstalling Java first, then updating to a newer version.

Hi Piggy,
I have to agree with Presto & John, the best I have found is Azureus. I can't understand why your puter ditches on you (Presto) with multiple downloads, why not just limit yourself to a max of Three at a time! I have never had any probs with it, regardless of the number of sim d/l's.....

I'm new to this bit torrent stuff, don't really know what the "torrent" is all about, but anyway I downloaded Azureus and is it the case that you have to goto a torrent website and click on a movie which then downloads through Azureus? Because Limewire and all the rest connect to all the peers but I can't seem to see a connect tab for azureus. And like other p2p's, can you not watch the movie as it's downloading? Cheers

You have to download the .torrent file, and add it to the client. I use ABC client, it's much easier than Azereus which tends to complicate things.

Don't use it for piracy though.

In that I case I might dump Azureus for ABC then, it does seem a bit... :doh
I've been using it so far for poker vids. Watched Phil Hellmuth's on line million dollar secrets. It's quite good but not excellent. Moneymaker was a lucky sod in his big win!
