Turn it on?
Try the open option from the 'D' (or whatever letter) drive file option?

Thanks S M
Problem solved,I suddenly realised I had been tilting the
tower with the C D in it and maybe it had moved and jammed
the tray and door, which it had,a few gentle taps which
it appears reseated it and it opened. Thanks a lot for having
a go.Cheers Tipp.

If it happens again, you can use the manual over-ride. If you look on the front of the CD drive (usually an inch or so to the left of the open/close button) there's a small hole. Straighten out a paper-clip, insert it all the way into this hole, and give it a jiggle. This will trigger the locking catch and the tray will spring out.

Exactly! That's why they put that hole there, Presto :)

Although you'd be surprised at the numbers of people that ask for a set of headphones with a very small jack-plug :D
