Hi there,

I've only been away a week and already I return to an infected system. SEARCHWEB2 - the spyware beast that doesn't want to be rid of, whatever I try.

Have tried the usual - AdAware, etc etc, to no avail. This thing will lurk and lurk and I can't get rid of it.

Any help - suggestions - all welcome.

That's half way to solving the problem. I've now disabled everything at startup. So, although it is still there, lurking, it is not running.

You'll have to go into safe mode, rename the files concerned, and remover them from the registry.
