...right, a quick quiz (of varying degrees of difficulty) on the various Alien films. No Googling if you can possibly avoid it:

You're all close with the type of ship, but that wasn't its classification which is mentioned a few times in the film, most noticably at the start and also during Ripley's taped message while she's floating around in the shuttle.

Some clues to the remaining questions are:

I'm sure the ship was a Deep Core something...

Another bit of trivia as well. The picture of Ripley's Daughter in Aliens is actually Sigourney Weaver's mum.

Yes, it was her mum.

But not a Deep Core anything. The Nostromo is a modified Lockmart CM-88B Bison Transport otherwise classified as a...........?

The singer is right....and to put everyone out of their misery, the Nostromo was an N-Class star freighter.
