Cp will not open

Help!
I cannot open the Cd\DVD drive to install programs, the system says its woring OK but it open at all,I've pressed the button ,I've clicked on it & pressed eject in the DVD player but it will not respond?

there is a tiny hole somewhere on the front of the drive (not headphone socket). take a paperclip (or equivalant), and poke it into the hole - this should eject the drive.

Mine ejects, but just packed up spinning up a few weeks ago, put a cd in, it makes a noise like it's about to spin then gives up :doh

You're not supposed to put CD's in the floppy disk drive :rolleyes:

PS, the rubber has probably slipped off the drive, easy to put back on.
