Anyone got or know of any free software for printing CD labels? The ones I've seen on google all seem to be 15 day trials. Obviously being a tightwad I don't want to pay, buy or upgrade anything which downgrades my wallet. :D

Funny. I have had real problems with Mediaface.
All the templates seem to print slightly off centre. I have calibrated and recalibrated several times. I have hunted for support on their website.. but to no avail. This has happened on two different printers too.
I have now got some MS Word templates that I use.

for about £10-£12 acoustica has got an excellent piece of software,and simple to use.

You need to calibrate off the print to get it spot on, not just on their calibration, as your paper may feed in at a different angle each time, etc.... Mine prints perfect, and has done on 4 printers.
