That was the most impressive performance i've seen this summer jumping campaign.

I know it was only a Fakenham Bumper but on paper it looked quite competetive. It was run at a good pace and he quickened up really well 3f out to put distance between himself and the fiield very quickly and win hard held by about 10 lengths.

One to follow I think.

cheers

One more to add to my list after yesterdays superb racing at Cheltenham.

I was really taken with the performance of Fair Along on debut for the Hobbs yard, set off like a scolded cat and built up a 25+ length lead but amazingly still had plenty in the tank at the business end to see off the highly regarded Henderson horse with the rest of what looked a quality field well beaten off.

I have backed ante post for the Triumph but hopefully there are plenty of races to be won between now and then.

Fair Along won easily again today to enhance Triumph prospects albeit at a rather short price. Seemed to settle better today but still went clear and was never in any danger.

Roll Along tries to defy a double penalty in the last at Warwick.

A nice performance to win at 15/8 in what looked a strong bumper.

It is usually difficult to win these with a penalty so to win with a double penalty was very meritorious.

Showed last time at Fakenham that it had pace to burn and today showed it can battle when it has to.

One worry about running at Cheltenham was the fact that it was ridden (by its work rider presumably) all of the time it was in the parade ring until the jockey arrived.

I definitely still think this is one to follow and has a big future.

Well done with this HM...great following! I knew there was somewhere I knew the name from when I saw it last night in the form.

See Fair Along won today at a nice 7/1. had a few bob on it. Remembered its gutsy performance in the Triumph Hurdle. Was the Class horse in the field today

Pleased to see it bounce back today especially as I backed it.

Was disappointing last time over hurdles at Market Rasen (going possibly softer than ideal) and last time on the flat at Epsom although I personally tend to forgive a horse a bad run at Epsom and if carrying over any of the improvement shown over hurdles to the flat had to be chucked in today.

Running in 7.20 Salisbury(won on track last week).top weight and Price is shorter (maybe to short for value).

Really fancy this again today running with a 6lb penalty after easy win last week.

I know 10 stone 1lb is a lot of weight but is used to carrying more over timber and at the end of the day is a Triumph Hurdle runner up running on the flat off a mark of just 71.

Won at EVENS

Made all. Won by about 10 lengths eased down.

I should imagine a considerable hike in the weights will follow to make life more difficult on the flat.

Fair Along yesterday 3rd @11/2 having looked all over the winner turning for home. Clearly loves Cheltenham and possibly didn't quite stay the 2m 5f but still one I will be following.

Roll Along today WON 7/4

Looked very useful once again today jumping fast and fluent on hurdles debut to win nicely beating a well faniced Paul Nicholls favourite. This one doesn't run very often but still has lots of potential and is clearly is still one to follow.

While I am at it I might as well add Another Promise to my list to follow.
This has won its first two races this season in the past month at Hexham and Kelso for Ferdy Murphy at a time when his horses are generally needing a run or two to get fully fit
On both occasions it has jumped beautifully from the front and led its rivals a merry dance.
Should be interesting addition to the list.

Another Promise disappointed today at Bangor.

Jumped well once again but seemed to run a bit free in the early stages and never quite got its own way in front before coming to grief at the second last when well beaten. The result says he fell but although he made a bad mistake he had recovered before being knocked over by another runner.
He was running of a 13lb higher rating than when winning and probably found this too much in a much more competetive race than he had been winning.

I will still be following Another Promise though as he is still only lightly raced and being only 7 is still open to plenty of improvement while his jumping will always stand him in good stead.

Roll Along won yesterday at 1/4. Made to work hard this is the the first time this horse has had two runs reasonably close together so is maybe best after a break, we shall see.

Fair Along won today at 10/3 on chase debut once again at his beloved Cheltenham. Jumped well and made all to win easily and is now disputing favouratism for the Arkle in March.

Another Promise ran an absolute cracker today to finish 2nd at 14/1 to Neptune Collonges from 7lbs out of the handicap.

A change of tactics today saw him held up well off the pace until moving up strongly on the home turn but being unable to match the pace of the winner.

Once again he jumped beautifully today and that will always hold him in good stead and I think this was his best performance to date and is still on the upgrade.

I remembered that someone from the forum had mentioned this horse as one to follow but couldn't remember who it was - I backed for a place today so thanks for that ! :)

Fair Along won at 2/1 in the big Novice Chase at Sandown today beating a high class horse in My Way De Solzen and is now favourite for the Arkle at Cheltenham. Jumped well again and quickened away well after the last in very resting conditions.

Another Promise won today at 3/1.

Haven't seen the race yet but reading the RP report sounds like a very comfortable success.

Fair Along and Roll Along are both running today at Newbury. Could be a nice wee double.

If it weren't for his 4yo allowance I would say Fair Along could be beat today -it's a tough assignment & I reckon Killaghy Castle will be close enough to come out on top on the figures.

Surely, Roll Along also faces his toughest test to date & I can see this one beat by the likes of Sir Jimmy Shand or Kanpai over this trip.

Well Roll Alongs unbeaten record ended today, apparently got a bit revved up beforehand causing him to miss the parade in front of the stands and possibly left his race in the paddock as he was never really travelling with any of his usual zest today was left behind on the home turn before staying on again after the second last to take third and reward each way backers.

Has been noted previously as having a bit of a temperament and hopefully that got the better of him today and we will see better from him in the future if he can learn to take the race preceeding in his stride.

Fair Along absolutely dotted up at the prohibitive odds of 2/5 despite not jumping with his usual fluency and to me anyway looked well in command when his two nearest pursuers made a hash of the cross fence.

I still think this horses love of Cheltenham (I don't think I have seen a horse come down the hill as well as this one does) will see him go very close in the Arkle.
