Betting System

I used to have a book that contained a system that worked something like this:

You would select 6 runners for the day, and list them numbering 1 to 6
The system had a list of bets to place. Fro example
Doubles
1 & 3
1 & 4
Trebles
1, 3 & 6
1, 4 & 5
etc

There were a total of 15 bets, and you were guaranteed certain combinations depending on the number of winners. I remember that if you had 5 winners, you were guaranteed at least 1 4timer. Equally, with 4 winners you would get at least one treble.
I can't remember the details, but you were also guaranteed other returns.

Has anyone heard of this, and if so, can you let me have the details please?

I have turned the place (and the internet) upside down looking for the damn book...

if it was, i would advise to steer clear of it. I bought it about a year or 2 ago, and some of the sytstems such as 'best of the press' were crazy. the idea was to see which horses were tipped the most and then do them in trixies and the like. I was a complte novice - AND LOST A LOT OF MONEY :yikes:

No it wasn't that one. Obviously you can see how much I actually used the book by the fact that I have lost it! I just would like the details of that particular system. I guess I could work out the details, or some similar.. but that sounds difficult!
