According to MY interpretation of YOUR rules JBJ, shouldn't the selection be COMMANCHE WAR PAINT- 3.10...Win? (7 days) ----- BANG AND BLAME - (9 days) :doh

We already know from past research this system, freely available on Google, isn't profitable. Basically as horses that run in less than 7 days, and especially 4 days, are now well underpriced by bookies.

Hi Tov - My fault or rather the the way I'm searching for it. In my databases. I don't use proper date format within the databse itself which makes searching dificult.

As I recall this was tested a couple of years ago and worked well for the flat but not for NH.

I should soon be able to give the results for the last 4 months but it will take the computer a few hours to work them all out. :yikes: :yikes:

Many systems have been built around seven day winners and four day winners over the years, some do well some don't, depends on filters and tweaks I suppose. Everybody tries new twists on old ideas looking for the pot of gold, like "The Goods"?:hearty

:yikes: Its a colleters clasic :yikes: (Now you tell me the collectors are the from the council refuse department :D.

Re time - I really ought to redesign the data and add in a few indexes to speed things up but I'm still finding out what need to do so the programs are not very effecient.

Thanks - 6.00am leave for airport :yikes:

Hope someone will keep track of this while I'm away. If memory is right this system worked well for the N.H season.

The thing that baffles me with this system is why the person who posted it here in the first place chose to refer to it as the "Winner LTO System" at all. Can it be, I ask myself, that he has made the mistake of imagining that "the horse which has the least number of days since its last win" necessarily won LTO?! Actually, even discovering which horse each day has the least number of days since its last win, although clearly possible, is not necessarily quite as easy as one might imagine.

Anyway, as Keith rightly observes above, it isn't profitable now (although allegedly it was once over a run of 100 bets when monitored by Steve Jones on his website).

MarcusMel
10th December 2005, 04:42
Sorry was despirately trying to name it! (My fault) It was taking off CDsystems site which three years? ago Keith trialed it. (have I been here THAT long!!) Like a lot of systems it ran quite successfully for a short period and then went downhill.

I think there are some ideas that if you choose a period of time in the year show themselves to be profitable. So for instance we could say that this systems has now made the required profit for some well defined start date and now we wait until next year and attempt to do the same thing again. We should also have a well defined end date too! After all some things do exhibit a cyclic behavour.

The person who 'found it and posted here' saw the positive figure and thought oh this is easy and 'showed off' his ability to find profitable systems on the net  (youth - definatley wasted on them). Feel free to find its proper name and get it renamed.

Now perhaps someone would like to prove that this system does not work for the begining or middle or end of a racing type season.
