An IBM Thinkpad

I got it from work, but as it is of no use to me, and I'm a bit brassic
I thought I'd cash in and sell it on ebay!

The trouble being that it is registered to the firm,
when you log, the username is the name of the firm!

Is there any way of changing it? :doh

And pressing ctrl+alt+del to get the configuration stuff up doesn't work?

Always seeking the impossible

Vegy!

Just go in the Control Panel....hit SYSTEM and change the computer name, then clikc the USERS icon in the CP, and chnage the name/pass.

Why can't you use it? An old IBM thinkpad would fetch around £20 if your lucky.

Twenty Quid :yikes:

It's a good'un, I was thinking more near the 3 figure mark!!!! Ooo

I don't think I can re-install windows if I don't have a disc, can I??

To Marcus ~ I haven't the foggiest!!!!

I'll try what Keith said, had a look around those areas yesterday but didn't want to mess it up! :D

To Presto ~ It was given to me actually! :D

What model is it? If it doesn't have memory seperate graphics, the P&P is worth more than the laptop. Second hand laptops do not sell very well, as you can buy a new one for £380
