I have Windows XP Home on my computer at home which only has Works Spreadsheet on it and not Excel...:(
Can I load Microsoft Office Basic Edition 2003 onto the computer safely to be able to have access to Excel Spreadsheets...:doh

I have a feeling MS recommend you don't have both installed at the same time - some versions of Works have Word as the word processsing part and of course that is also part of Office - don't know of that's a potential problem.

Won't be a problem Chris - just make sure that if you are using a spreadsheet that has to be kept on the Works format, you use the right mouse button to open it and chose which program to open it with.
