Whats all this about??

Wolverhampton tomorrow.

The distances are odd.

for example:

7.00 - 1m141y

7.30 - 7f32y

Anyone know what this Y thing is? Is it yards?

I must show my ignorance here and admit that I cant measure distance in yards.

Would the 7.30 be 7f (32 when expressed in yards)


OR

7f AND 32 yards?

yep yards - they have been doing this for sometime now. It used to read
7f (7f32y) but now they just tell you the exact(hmmm!) distance.

They original measured with a piece of string and feet, but when GPS came out they realised for some reason the old method wasn't accurate :doh
