I am sick of yahoo which, even with its best Mail PLus service, is letting yards of spam through though my spam control is firmly ON. It has got much worse lately - doesn`t even seem to recognise the word Viagra now. But all my business e-mails and etc are routed through yahoo which otherwise is a good e-mail service. So am thinking of installing some fierce anti-spam software - but there is so much out there and I have no idea what is the best. All advice welcome, especially based on use. Warnings too. Main factor is efficiency and ease of use. ::hearty

AVG by grisoft. and it's free. I think you have to have all the AV though I don't think you just cherry pick the anti-spam stuff. Might be wrong though. I generally am.:)

I use Mailwasher Pro to filter out spam from my ntl and aol accounts, and there is a free version that works well enough to be highly recommended.

Best on the market by a long way and you start with the 'full' version with the option of downgrading to the freebie. The freebie is fine for most people - it just sticks an addy on the end of your emails.
