the dome - it's a fix anyway, it was part of the deal to sell the dome, the rest is all window dressing. God forbid something north of watford gets this.
I've a host of other conspiracy theories too

I have no idea why they don't allow all 7 to get one :doh
Although surely it has to be between Blackpool and The Dome.
I'd prefer the dome, as it's easy for me to get to, but then again, Blackpool would be good as I wouldn't have the temptation to go to it !!!

Looks like everyone so far is of a similar opinion - Blackpool vs the Dome... I think Blackpool should get it, but it seems pretty certain it'll be the Dome....

Blackpool is Smackhead Central, and no better than inner city Manchester.
The fact the goverment has already shown it's siding towards the dome.....and work has already started building it :doh.....says a lot!!!
To be honest, I think it would be best being built near the NEC in Birmingham, as it's central for the country, and easy motorway access, and plenty of open land for parking, as well as keeping it away built up areas.
You have to look at it this way....look down the main street in Las Vegas.....unbelievable.....then imagine our super casino in central London where no one wants to go (especially North of the M25) , built under something that resembles a womans giant sperm blocker.....oh yer.....go baby!!!

birmingham already have the biggest casino in the UK 'star city' - so i don't see why they would need another one.
i just can't understand why they just don't buld 2 super casino's. i mean blackpool and greenwich are at opposite sides of the country, and the re-generation would help both out a lot.

greenwich 2.42 - 2.78
i know betting odd's mean nothing, but greenwich did look the big odd's on fav, but now that has changed to blackpool :wiggle:

Blackpool is smackhead central......the Dome is a joke/dump.....it should be cited near the NEC in birmingham. That way it's central for England, and easy to get too via motorways.

....................... hang on havn't we already had this conversation :)
- the crime / unemployment / smack head central, is one reason why blackpool want it, the lack of jobs (especially off season) to help re-generate the town and cut such problems, as without it it would just be a downward spiral.

Blackppol already have casino's.....so does London....Liverpool....Manchester....but the new one is different. It's a nice building (rules out the dome)....Las Vegas style.
The tories turned down the fact the government wanted 8 of them, and only allowed 1.........because of the gambling problems......wasn't it the Tories who started the lottery for 16 year olds? :doh

The company I work for was looking to bid in the UK.
If my memory serves me, the Dome is definately a NO NO. Birmingham/Sheffield have a familiar ring for some reason.
I think I'll have a little LAY on the dome and a little Back on Sheffield.
:wink

You've obviously never been on the M6 then....:laugh
Also to call the Dome a dump and then advocate Birmingham as an alternative....:geek
I'm with Presto, lets have 3, one in London, one in Blackpool and one in Glasgow.

No one goes to Blackpool....it's a dinosaur lost in the past, and is not as easy to get to as most other places.
So the dome area is better than the area around the NEC? :doh Somehow don't think so!

Screwed by 3 votes by the old folk who still think it's the height of fun to sit in a deck chair in the rain on Blackpool Beach watching the turds float past :ermmm
They'll twist a few arms, and vote again......Manchester will still get it.
