Conrupt on both PC's I use, not sure whats occured, tried re-installing/updating. Was my favourite too :(

limewire is full of spyware / malware. - try a good scan. then re-installing.

newsgroups are great if you want to download film size files, though not quite as user friendly as limewire, the speed of the download is unbeatable, but i don't think some (most) ISP's allow them.

my advice as well.... been using newsgroups for 10 years now for games, music and now movies. NTL are OK with their news server, though only around 10 days retention... if you need longer you have to pay... and newsfeeds.com is superb. Bit of a learning curve with it but once you get the hang it's by far the best way to get anything.
