Can't login to Betfair

Have to use their numerical URL: http://212.62.21.228

Enter my username and password, OK the security certificate, and then the following message comes up:

You are not authorised to perform this action.

Any ideas? :(

Are you trying this at home or at work?

I've just heard of a guy who used to use betfair at work, but because the company was American, some technical jargon to do with servers, meant that his company ended up blocking betfair because of the silly yank gambling laws. (This company is based in Ireland by the way)

Yep, Firefox is my primary browser. Can't login with IE either.

Can you try it from a mate's house John, just to rule out that it's not something to do with your computer/server whatever. Failing that, might be best to ring them.

Yep, cheers Matt I was going to do that anyway. Hopefully using another machine will solve the problem, I think my PC is due for an upgrade, or a replacement.

:doh No! Betfair is primed for IE, but worksin Firefox, and not very well in other like Opera. If you have a problem in IE, then you try it in Firefox. If it doesn't work there either then that knocks out the fact it is not a browser problem.
