3 months ago i bought a .com from 1-2-3 reg. have a recpete for it and it appears in my controle pannel, however now that i have got round to putting up the site - i find out it's not been registered ;fire - i have checked 'whois' and domain checkers - and they both say it's available.

the e-mail support at 1-2-3 is non existant, 3 e-mails in 3 days and no reply's and for the price of the phone support i would expect to talk dirty to a lonely houswife ;fire

I've got 100's with them, and never had a problem. It takes less than 24hrs to register on Whois.

See if 1-2-3 will let you purchase it AGAIN!!

tried to buy it - and they will let me buy it again ;fire
i have checked spelling and everything - it's all correct. i assume it's all computerised - theres no manual imput that could go wrong is there?

i have a few other domains from 1-2-3 bought them all at the same time and they are all fine - it's just one of them.

Speaking of 1-2-3

I bought the footysim domain name off them 2 years ago.
I beleieve that it is due to expire this month or next!

Will they e-mail me asking if I want to renew it?

I have completely forgotten which e-mail address I would have used.
Possibly an old non-existent one :yikes:

it was deffinately a .com - on the 'availibility checkers' all .com .net .co.uk etc.... are available - so i doupt there has been a mix up in that department.

If you didn't get a Nominet certificate for it, it isn't registered.

I don't know if there is much else you can do apart from phone the 'dirty housewife' (although 50p per minute is still cheaper than Microsoft who charge around $25 per minute!):yikes:

Vegy - I hope you have your login details - you need to go to your 123 control panel and make sure that it doesn't expire - if it does, it'll cost you at least $50 to get it back.

yup i suppose a phone call it is, the domains i have had before usually too 3+ years for the Nominet certificate to arrive.

You don't get a Nominet cert if it is .com ............I could decorate my house in them!!!

Vegy, you have to get back on 1-2-3 and renew......some people watch out for expired names, buy them up, and sell them back at a very large price.

Just logged in,
somehow my login details were remembered :yikes: I haven't logged in for about 18 months and have deleted cookies / temp files lots of times since :ooo

Anyway, apparently I have until April 3rd, and it's oin an e-mail address I use. So no need to panic just yet! :D
