Backing or Laying?

Hi Everyone,

Mike here from Loughton, Essex.
I would appreciate your views please on whether I should back horses or lay them? I suppose the logical answer is to `lay` but I am new to this method of investing and wondered if you could kindly offer me some advice please?

Why choose one or the other? Laying is no different from backing its just a case of the odds been transposed. Laying is, in effect odds on gambling, 90% of the time. All the rules stay the same, strike rate dictates average price of winning bet required in order to turn a profit.

What I would say is laying is just another option when gambling, it gives us another market to explore so dont limit yourself to just one way of gambling when there is more than one way to skin a cat.
