Decided I don't play anywhere near as much poker as I'd like to so tonight I have a Party SnG on the go with a Bet365 MTT starting in about 5 minutes

1st hand double up with the nut flush being bet into by a J high flush in the MTT - nice :)

Bubbled in the STT and took my eye off the MTT a bit when it looked like I might get somewhere in the STT and as a result my MTT chip stack dwindled with some loose calls and bets. Got it back in check now but still somewhat short stacked when you consider the increasing blinds

What table are you on Mat?

36/208 at the 1st break

After saying it had been ugly poker I hit a couple of nice hands (JJ and KK) and pushed with them. The guy to my right called them both and kindly gave me all of his chips. The first one he had 33 against my JJ and I read his raise as an attempted steal UTG as this was his first hand back after he'd been on a break or disconnected. The second one was an easy push and although he had an ace (AJ) he didn't connect and I was OK.

Been having a bit of fun with the guy to my left too. Doesn't defend his blinds much so I have been nicking a few off him.

And so endeth my tourney.

1 bad call in there I reckon. Happy enough with the last all-in with the 4s. Thought the all-in from the button was a real estate raise and steal but it was AQ v AK and I hadn't read the guy to my right for the full house. Trips maybe but I had two pair and a nut flush draw so it was worth a push I figured.

Oh bugger... that heaps the pressure on me now Mat :yikes:

From my limited and poor poker knowledge, you didn't do too much wrong.

Are you in the same game Mark?

Tight Ass Thomas is chugging along with around 6k chips

From my limited and poor poker knowledge, you didn't do too much wrong.Perhaps not. Unlucky to run into AK when I had AQ or wrong to call the big bet from that position? I thought the latter when I saw the cards but I would probably do the same next time. It had the hallmark of a steal.

Are you in the same game Mark?Table 45 I think

Been re-reading Hellmuth recently and it has got me back into the cash poker vibe. Playing my first game for over 5 weeks at the minute. Opened a new account on Empire to try and get the Poker Office license free and it's goign very well.

$20 up in just over an hour on a $0.50/$1 limit hold'em table playing tight aggressive poker, far more aggressive than I am used to playing. Some proper fish here though :)

Things started so well on Empire too. :(

I got the Poker Office licence and made a few quid while doing the necessary and since then it has been really downhill.

I am not in a perfect frame of mind for poker I admit but I am still playing a tight aggressive game and getting beaten almost every pot I'm in. Mostly by people spawnily pairing their kicker and get two pair, or the worst card in the deck hitting the river. It's not fair! :(
