I want to populate a column with dates for a calendar year, this one obviously, and at present I am inputting them manually which is tiresome. Is there a way to automatically fill in these dates ?

Yes, in the same was as I told Vegy the other day, albeit for something slightly differently.
Make sure column A (or whatever) is set to your chosen date format. Enter 01/01/07 in the first cell, then select that cell and 364 below it.
Edit - Fill - Series with interval of 1
That should give you a column of dates for the full year

Providing it's entered as a date e.g. 1/1/2007, you can simply copy (or drag) the first cell into the subsequent 364 cells.
Excel is smart enough to realise that you want to increment each cell by one day.
