Got an idea for a system there the other day, just want to clarify.

Here is an example:

5% per day divided over the daily selections.

Bank: 1000
Day's Stake (5% of Bank): 50
Stake per selection: 12.50

So i get:
Three Losers: -37.50
One Winner @ 1/1: 12.50 (Or do i add the stake back on to make it 25.00??)

i.e. would my bank tomorrow be 987.50 or 975??

lost 3 * 12.50 =

962.50

staked 12.50

down to 950

won at 1/1

950 + stake(12.50) + win (12.50) =

£975

not sure about this staking:

crappy racing on a tuesday, folkstone and ayr called off as the track is a total bog, just leaving the naff stuff at wolves.
you find 1 qualifier,
5% staking - so you stick £50 on a qualifier you arn't too sure of.

an excelent saturdays racing is on with top horses in perfect conditions, plenty of racing - so you find 10 good qualifiers,
5% staking over the selections - so you stick a measley £5 on each of the 10.

not something i would like to do.

Intersting i kept getting it in my head it was 987.5 but i was nearly sure it was 975, wishful thinking on my part!! :splapme

Further to what Presto said, if you split a 5% stake across as many selections as you have on one day then you are going against the whole idea of a system. Why should one horse have a greater stake simply because there are fewer other qualifiers on the same day? If a horse qualifies it should be treated equally as all other qualifiers and that means staking it the same.

The system involves favourites, plain and simple.
