Chuck Liddell Vs. Quinton Jackson
Chuck 'the iceman' Liddell
Height 6'2
Weight 205 lbs
LHW ranking - 1st
Record 20 - 3 - 0
Wins - 13 (T)KOs (65.00%). 1 Submissions (5.00%). 6 Decisions (30.00%)

Losses - 3 (T)KOs (50.00%), 1 Submissions (16.67%), 1 Decisions (16.67%), 1 Other (16.67%)
A good looking fight this, Chuck puts his title on the line against the last man who beat him (and quite convincingly) back in november of 2003 at 'pride final conflict'.
Chuck has avenged 2 of his 3 losses - against randy coture and jeremy horn in convincing style, and is hoping to do the same against rampage for UFC 71.
Since the last meeting of the two they have had differing fortunes:
rampage has been 7-3 with 2 KO losses to Wanderlei Silva, and another KO loss to Mauricio Rua. He also has unimpressive decision wins against Dong Sik Yoon (0-4-0), and a contrevercial split decision against Matt Lindland. He won his UFC debut against Marvin Eastman via KO in the 2nd round, however it can be said that his win over chuck was the peak of rampages carear, and since then has been pretty unimpressive.
Liddell on the other hand has been most impressive going 7-0 with each fight ending within the distance via (T)KO, with wins against Randy Coture (2), Tito Ortiz (2), Jeremy Horn, Vernon White and Babaloo - looking unstopable in the process.
VERDICT - chuck victory via KO

Terry Martin Vs. Ivan Salaverry
Terry Martin
Height 5'8 (173cm)
Record 15 - 2 - 0 (Win - Loss - Draw)
Wins - 9 (T)KOs (60.00%), 5 Submissions (33.33%), 1 Decisions (6.67%)

Losses - 2 (T)KOs (50.00%), 2 Decisions (50.00%)
Wrestler terry martin goes up against all rounder Ivan Salaverry in this fight. i feel that Salaverry has the more varied arsenal to win this fight, however feel that it is one to just watch and enjoy rather than bet on.
...........................................
Houston Alexander Vs. Keith Jardine
Keith Jardine
Height 6'2 (188cm)
Record 12 - 2 - 1 (Win - Loss - Draw)
Wins - 6 (T)KOs (50.00%), 2 Submissions (16.67%), 4 Decisions (33.33%)
Losses - 1 (T)KOs (50.00%), 1 Decisions (50.00%)
Houston Alexander
Record 6 - 1 - 0 (Win - Loss - Draw) ( 1 NC )
Wins - 3 (T)KOs (50.00%), 1 Submissions (16.67%), 1 Decisions (16.67%), 1 Other (16.67%)
Losses - 1 Submissions (100.00%)
I have to admit i know very little about houston alexander - and havn't even seen him fight, so am calling this fight knowing only half of the puzzle. however i do know that he will be taking a huge step up in class from 'gladiator challange' (a smaller MMA show) to the UFC - and at 35 years old aswell. Keith Jardine 'the dean of mean' however i have seen fight - and this fella is well underated and a tough fighter. 4-1 in the UFC with the only loss a 'contrevercial' one to stephan bonnar (with many feeling that jardine should have had it on the judges scorecard). Also looked mightily impressive last time out when destroying 'TUF' fans favourite Forrest Griffen.
VERDICT - Keith Jardine win
.............................................
Josh Burkman Vs. Karo Parisyan
Josh Burkman
Height 5'10
Record 8 - 3 - 0 (Win - Loss - Draw)
Wins - 2 (T)KOs (25.00%), 3 Submissions (37.50%), 3 Decisions (37.50%)
Losses - 3 Submissions (100.00%)
Karo Parisyan
Height 5'10
Record 16 - 4 - 0 (Win - Loss - Draw)
Wins - 9 Submissions (56.25%), 7 Decisions (43.75%)
Losses - 1 (T)KOs (25.00%), 3 Decisions (75.00%)
This should be an entertaining fast paced fight,
VERDICT - Karo Parisyan by decision
.................................................
Kalib Starnes Vs. Chris Leben
Kalib Starnes
Height 6'3
Record 7 - 1 - 1 (Win - Loss - Draw)
Wins - 2 (T)KOs (28.57%), 5 Submissions (71.43%),
Losses - 1 (T)KOs (100.00%)
Chris Leben
Height 5'11
Record 16 - 3 - 0 (Win - Loss - Draw)
Wins - 8 (T)KOs (50.00%), 4 Submissions (25.00%), 4 Decisions (25.00%)
Losses - 1 (T)KOs (33.33%), 1 Submissions (33.33%), 1 Decisions (33.33%)
The tough heavy handed Leben takes on fellow 'TUF' graduate in the skilles Kalib Starnes. Two very contrasting styles here, the brawler of Lebern and submission skills of Starnes. Leburn is comming of 2 losses out of 3 in his last fights - a 'destruction job' by Anderson Silva, and choked out by Jason MacDonald, showing weeknesses in both fights. However with all his flaws Leburn will always be a dangerous opponent. Starnes i feel is the more skilled fighter and has more ways of winning this fight, his cardio also seems better than Leburns who can gas later on.
VERDICT - Kalib Starnes (possibly by submission in the 2/3 round)

A look at the odd's now - it's always important to have a look at the odd's when betting, and sometimes better to go against your oppinion of who will win the fight if the odd's are big enough on the opponent.
1.57 Chuck Liddell Vs. Quinton Jackson 2.45
- 1.57 on chuck looks a good bet to me.
2.20 Terry Martin Vs. Ivan Salaverry 1.67
- i did favour Salaverry for this one however the odds of 1.67 are just too low to bet on, think i will leave this fight a 'no bet'.
3.20 Josh Burkman Vs. Karo Parisyan 1.36
rather skinny odd's on parisyan, i certainly won't be betting a lot on this fight.
5.00 Houston Alexander Vs. Keith Jardine 1.17
Being small odd's and the fact i don't know much about alexander meanss i won't bet much on this fight.
2.85 Kalib Starnes Vs. Chris Leben 1.44
2.85 looks a massive price on Kalib Starnes, i could see this being a pretty even fight odd's wise - but to see Starnes such a big underdog suprises me.
1.38 Thiago Silva Vs. James Irvin 3.05
1.83 Sean Salmon Vs. Alan Belcher 1.91
3.60 Jeremy Stephens Vs. Din Thomas 1.30
3.20 Carmelo Marrero Vs. Wilson Gouveia 1.36
