When I try and open certain webpages I get the message saying you need flashplayer to view this page.
I've downloaded and installed it according to Adobe's website but I still get the message and I can't find the program on my pc anywhere.
Anyone got any ideas as to why it isn't installing, or if it is, why it's not starting?

I had this problem.
I kept installing the flash player yet nothing would happen.
In the end I reinstalled adobe, everything on their site and the flash player worked from then on.

Hi Sparky, have you checked to see if your browser is enabling you to view Flash content?

I must add. I have had this working in the past. I can't think of any reason why it's stopped.

Have you used a pc cleaner?
I was using it fine for some time then it stopped working.
I had your problem, I kept downloading it both from the webpages saying I needed it and the adobe site but it never worked.
In the end I uninstalled adobe and reinstalled the free downloads including the flash player and it worked.
However when I used the pc cleaner it then stopped working so I uninstalled and reinstalled again and then had to go through what the pc cleaner was going to clean and stop it from removing it.

It's an IE issue.....are you using 6 or 7? I'm on 7, never changed anything, it just stopped one day. It's only important for watching my education videos online, so I just put the URL in Opera.

This kind of thing is mostly caused by AV and anti-spyware software that is disabling the Flash Active X control. First thing to check is whether your software has an option to disable Flash as it might be set to do so by default. Second thing to check is Internet Explorer, Tools, Manage Add-ons, Enable or Disable Add-ons. In the Show drop-down list, make sure that Shockwave Flash Object is shown in the Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer list. If it's not shown, switch to the Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer, highlight Shockwave Flash Object, then choose the Enable option. Click Okay then see if it's working.

Another thing to check is your security settings in Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Security. A High security setting will disable Flash so set it to Medium. If you're using a Custom setting, check that Download Signed ActiveX Controls option is set to Prompt. You should also set the Run ActiveX Controls option to Prompt too.

If it's still not working after you've done the above, go here http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157&sliceId=1 and uninstall the player. Make sure that nothing is running in the background including IE and any messenger type programs. Then go here to reinstall it http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

Hi mate. How's things? Your boys are looking good this year. Do you think they can maintain it to the end of the season?
Anyway back to the problem.:(
I've done all that Glos. No joy.
I've e-mailed Adobe to see if they've got any ideas.

If it hasn't worked then I'm baffled...let me know what Adobe say if you hear from them.

I think we'll be clear at the end of the year but, as you know, the season counts for nothing really. Just like last year and when we won the premier by a proverbial street...it's all down to that last game of the season.
