Have to take him on. Has been a wonderful horse but I am surprised he is napped in the RP this morning. Traditionally at his best in the Spring he was behind Afsoun at Cheltenham and age is not on his side. I expect Detroit City to be close. he was winning everything at this time of the year in 2006. Therefore there is plenty of high class opposition to Hardy, and at 10 is not improving. Very rare for hurdlers to retain their top level status at this age.

Well, fair play to Hardy, that was a really good gutsy win. Shame about Detroit, and what wwas Afsoun doing ?

Afsoun lacked the benefit of a recent run, Hardy ran on the flat recently. Hardy hacked up in this race last year....if you were going to lay him you had to find the horse to beat him. For Wichita Lineman this was a big leap from novice company, Detroit City gave up on racing years ago and you were lying solely on Afsoun. Risky mate...
