The bookies are generally odds against on the draw in this game.
AC Milan are already through and Celtic only need a draw to
go through at the expense of Shakhtar Donetsk.

What this essentially means is that AC Milan (at the San Siro) are
available at the mouth watering price of 13/8 to beat the Scottish
Champions.

You would have been hard pressed to get odds against had this match taken
place any earlier in the league programme.

However, is the draw a foregone conclusion.

I think not!

Let us not forget the history that has already taken place between these
two teams in this years competition. Yes, I refer to the Dida incident
and the last minute clebrations of Celtic who beat Milan 2-1 at Celtic Park.
It is possible that Milan will be looking to take vengence on their defeat
and for the treatment of Dida.

Let us not also forget that Celtic have lost both of their away games so
far in this group stage.

Let us also not forget the recent Uefa inquiry into match fixing. With Milan's
recent record not holding up welll inthat area, they may not want to
imply themselves of anything untoward in this match.

SO for these reasons I don;'t think Milan will hold much back and even if they do,
I don't forsee them being unable to score, whereas I can see Celtic returning
scoreless.

BETTING ADVICE
4 POINTS AC Milan win @ 13/8 [Bet365 / Bluesq]
1 POINT AC Milan -1 Handicap @ 11/2 [Bet365 / PaddyPower]

You could be right vegy...they may take the greatest pleasure knocking them out of the cup! I would go for the draw as Celtic will really want it badly but really depends on team line-ups...& Celtic have dismal away record in Europe...one draw I think & the rest defeats! Good luck anyway! :thumbs

Very difficult to call when Italian teams are involved in games like this. Great price for Milan but as Scooby says they could field a weak team and Celtic have the inspiration of topping the group and avoiding some of the top teams in the next round, plus the mere fact of winning in Milan. With all that and the fact both teams are through with a draw

I wonder if dutching 0-0 (4.90) and 1-1 (5.10) (dutched odds 2.50) and laying the draw (2.10) could be the way to go. I can't see it being 2-2 or 3-3, surely?

However as they are Italian, and if you've seen the odds and results of the last couple of weeks of an Italian season, you'll know why I am staying away from it!

Milan came up trumps but could only muster the one chance!

I suppose in the circumstances, I should be grateful for the one! :D

TOTAL PROFIT
+ 5.50 pts

Profit is profit :D

Did anyone see the game, I was out. Did Milan have a full team? I'm assuming so as they said on the radio that Kaka passed to Cafu who crossed for Inzaghi to score. Was it played competitively or not? Going to be a lot of burnt fingers on the draw tonight!

It was their defence that they changed mainly Matt...no Nesta or Maldini anyway. In the first half it looked like a practice match and that is why I left it alone...wrongly as it turned out but Milan were not trying their best...they upped it more in the 2nd half. If they had needed to win that game...it would have been miles more competitive.

Kalac in goal? Is that the Australian keeper (yugoslavian born I think) I'm sure we had him briefly years ago before he went to Leicester.
