OK, it's 4.25am as I write this and I've been woken up twice within the past 15 minutes because some :censored: keeps ringing my phone from "Anonymous" but on the most recent call they have let their number slip.
Now I spoke to my mate Paul last night and he went travelling around the world and met some crazy people along the way, and let's face it he likes to have a laugh at the wrong things. So I'm wondering if he's given my number to some weirdo and he's started ringing me. This all started about half an hour after I spoke to him, but I'm not sure he'd do that.
Now the number I have starts with +234 which is Nigeria. Yeah, Nigeria.
I have to have my phone on at night because it acts as an alarm clock just before my radio goes off every morning. So if this continues I'm not sure what to do except bar all incoming calls but I don't want to have to do that. Oh well, least now I have the number and if it continues I can kick his ass.
From an extremely :censored: off John who is now going to attempt to get back to sleep when he has to be up in 3 hours for work.

Just have all calls from Nigeria blocked!! Simple.
Or just answer it and say "Hello, British National Front Murder a Blacky Sponsor Line" :yikes: (Would have said niger, but I'm being PC )

I have to have my phone on at night because it acts as an alarm clock just before my radio goes off every morning.Set your alarm for 2 minutes after you read this post and switch your phone off. Then wait and see if your phone alarm goes off. Mine does and my phone is a a couple of years old. In fact all phones I have had for the last 5 years or more have had alarms that still work when the phone is switched off.

Are they habging up?
In which case, you might just want to leave answer it and leave it on the side. They'll rack up a phone bill they won't want!

+234 says Nigeria but also says Ohio.
They just keep ringing and hanging up.
I will ring O2 when I'm home from work (lunching at the minute).

Be sure it isn't a mega expensive number before you call back - if there is a way of scamming a buck, it's been invented in West Africa

Thanks Sparky and Mat, I didn't know either of those still worked. Not sure if the snooze still works when the phone is off (I don't think it does) but I'm just testing it out on silent now.
The number I have is a lot longer than those listed on the link Merlin put up. :doh The number is basically +234 followed by 10 more digits.
I rang O2 just now, they said I have to contact the police before their Nuisance Calls department will look into it. What a palava.
I haven't had any calls from Nigeria since 08:37 this morning so I hope they .... off and leave me alone. Or do you think I should just report it to the police right now, regardless?
D'you know Keith you mock Vegy's posts but 75% of yours are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

for some rezason i keep getting messages from some web porno thing that has a title like 'busty blonds' etc.... (a different one every time) like 'asian *****' or 'sexy milfs' - a different one every coulpw of days - that just has the same text as the mesage title. i get no charge for it but it annoys the **** out of me.
a lot of people round me (01772) had a big problem with some auto dialer from yankland - a load of people contacted the local paper as they got the calling time wrong and hundereds of people in lancashire got a call at 4am.
i hate all of these cold calling pricks so just sceam abuse down the phone to any **** who calls.
