According to reports, Leeds are lining up a £1/2 million bid for Adam Boyd.
Would be disappointing to lose him, but would be some great business for a player picked up as a free agent only last summer!

And to think some of our more fickle fans used Boyd as a stick to beat Mike Newell with as he had such a disappointing season with us.
How anyone can questions Newells judgement in the transfer Market when he signed Rowan vine for 250K, David Bell for 100K, Matt spring for 250K, Drew Talbot for 200K, Carlos Edwards on a free, Markus Heikenen on a free and only Missed out on signing Gary Mcsheffrey for about 200K coz we were in administration (again) and made a transfer surplus of £10M, I just dont know.
We should never have given Boyd away for nothing, a loan spell maybe, but to cancel his contract was a big mistake in my book.

Tis that Blackwell isn't it. He's an idiot! Can't believe your board of directors let such an asset go for nowt though!
Looking at the Leyton Orient forum, he hasn't entirely endeared himself to all of the supporters. He's still seen by some as a bit lazy and slow. Can you beleieve that, 11 goals so far in his first season and he still has to up with criticism.
I think if we sell him, it shows our intent for this season, Good quality goalscorers are hard to come by. To get one for free was a godsend. To find another half way through a season is going to be difficult if not impossible when the chairman has already stated that there will be very little funds on offer! :(

He is slow and maybe a little lazy but he scores goals in this division that is for sure.
He record at Hartlepool was fantastic. He scored near 30 goals one season. He then missed most of the following season and Mike Newell decided to take a gamble and get him for 500K which on the face of his goalscoring record for a young player was a good price.
He always said he would only play him when he was fit and that he would be proved right eventully. Of course once he questioned where the £10M transfer profits had gone and raised the issues of illegal payments he was sacked and never got the chance to be proved right on Boyd.
Blackwell just bombed him out. DId not even give him a run out as a sub. I dont like Kevin Blackwell, he brought in 14 players since he become manager but on Sunday 7 of the starting 11 were Players left behind by Mike Newell. He then had the cheek to say after the game that he had spent the last 8 months building a team! The truth is he tried to bring in his own team but as they are mainly over the hill journeymen they have not been abler to last the course and he has had to use the players he inhereted who were not even getting on the bench at the beginning of the season like Dean Brill, Keith Keane, Calvin Andrew and Drew Talbot.

Could be more money on the way for Luton TH, as Matt Taylor is poised to leave this month and Luton apparently have a 15% sell on clause.
