Given the go ahead by the powers that be to start racing on the 4th April :thumbs

After many years of delays they finally get to make a few quid. Hope it works out for them, and since they scrapped the lower class crap, AW racing has improved again.

The promoter and owner is not the greatest at PR! :

He warned race goers not to expect a "grand opening", saying it would be a triumph to get off "without a hitch".

'Soft opening'

He added: "I would like to thank the BHA for their encouragement, advice and support, which has been unflagging.

"One must not expect a 'grand opening'

At least we've been warned!

They have passed all the BHA tests now, so have the license to race.

Soft openings are very common for things like this though. Can't say I expected a grand opening on day one

Actually looking forward to this. It's nice to see some new tracks opening. The AW at Dundalk was a good success, and it's great fun trying to be one of the first to spot the new trends and systems.

(Back Ger Lyons trained horses at Dundalk by the way :thumbs )

Since Dundalk opened:

Bets: 52
Winners: 10
SR: 19.23
Profit to SP: 16.83 points

It'll be a change from the other tracks too. Hope they do well.
