Early odds or SP

When placing bets the night before a race using Betfair, should I take the odds on offer or should I take the SP. I recently backed a 9/4 winner when the odds were 5/1 the previous night, then again sometimes the odds lengthen.

No real answer to that. Best thing to do is not down the night before odds you get, and the SP, then after 50-100 bets work out the average for each and see which is the highest, and stick with that one.
