:helper I have been recommended to get hold of the Channel 4 Book of Racing. I have bought one or two older versions to get me started from Ebay. Does any one have the ISBN number of the current and latest edition? Also, can anyone recommend their favourite and most useful book on racing which includes general knowledge, info on systems etc

Thanks :hearty

I've read a tonne of books on racing, so here are a few that I thought were good:

The definitive guide to betting on horses (Racing Post). Explains everything you need to know really.

As mentioned the Channel 4 book is good.

Braddock's complete guide to horse race selection and betting - very good and plenty of information on all aspects of racing

The racing retirement plan - A good introduction to systems.

Just search for those in Amazon, they should be easy to find.

High stakes is a good shop for books too: http://www.gamblingbooks.co.uk/

Thanks guys; that's a good start. I will look out for those you have mentioned in particular. p.s watch BELLOTTO in the 8.40 at Bath tomorrow evening. I think Green Wadi will come second. I have done Bellotto to win and a stright forecast 1. Bellotto and 2. Green Wadi

Cheers
