Am I right in thinking that this year Le Tour isn't sanctioned by the international official cycling authorities and instead it comes under the banner of the French cycling body?

Mat thats right there was some talk about the UCI banning the tour riders from the olympics because of the problems between the two organisations

Is it just me that gets knackered watching these guys? :ooo

Could you imagine them do a 100 mile street circuit in Beijing for the Olympics....they'd all pass out through lack of oxygen.....and yet climbing over the alps is no problem :splapme
