Oh dear Royal muwasim 4/7 favourite in a three horse race got beaten by a 20/1 shot. What happened? Must try harder next time I guess.

It's bad enough betting on donkeys - but 2yo donkeys?? This is probably the type of race where the adage "back the outsider of three" came to fame.

Scary result! (unless you are a follower of the aforementioned adage!)

Massive losses backing the outsider of 3, even if they all won at 20/1 :rolleyes:

Nothing wrong with results like that, we are dealing with the evolution of wild animals, not robots, and if you check the end of year stats for those type of races they'll match previous years.

Individual race results matter not, getting them right over the long term is what makes money. :thumbs

A good number of short-priced horses beaten today. That happens, same as days when they all win.

Poor old Royal Muwasim may have been having a bad day! He probably got up on the wrong side of his hay this morning, Burnt his hoof when trying to make a cup of tea, and had a tough time getting a knot out of his hair whilst it was being brushed. And after a morning like that, it's no surprise he was less than impressed about being asked to run against two horses who aren't as fast, and went into a right sulk, when to top it all, the jockey decided to whip it's backside against these inferior competitors. After that, would you perform at your peak?
