Traditional odds to decimal in excel

I'm copying some racing results into excel. The odds are displayed in fractional format, but I'm working in decimal. Is there a simple function to covert the fractions?

I usually add in another column - make sure the format is set to Number (and the number of decimals I need) and simply put in the formula:

=1+a:a

Where column a holds the fraction.

(If you don't need to add the one, simply use the format cells option)
