At the moment we have an analogue TV and can only get BBC 1,2, plus ITV and Ch 4. I am investigating Freeview and bought a Freeview set top box. I have connected it to the TV via the scart sockets etc. But it tells me to connect an aerial lead from the STB to the DVD player. Only problem is the DVD player doesn`t have an aerial socket. I have turned it practically inside out but nope. Any suggestions as to what I should do other than 1. get a new DVD player 2. get a man (don`t answer that...) :hearty

The aerial goes in the freeview box does it not? Then the scart from that to the TV.

I take it your DVD does not have an in & out scart, so you would probably need one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-Way-SWITCHED-Double-Scart-Box-Adaptor-Adapter_W0QQitemZ280254360860QQcmdZViewItem?IMSfp=TL080809118a7908

This is what I was following... seems more complicated than you suggest..DVD does have scart socket, but not an aerial socket.

As far as I'm aware Susan you should just connect your aerial direct into your Freeview box and have a scart lead from your freeview box to your TV. You will need a second scart lead from your DVD player to your TV which should have two scart sockets.
