Just shows another annoying part of Benitez....he gets rid of a player that does score, and buys one for twice the price that doesn't :splapme .....and it's not the first time :ermmm

Really ::swear me off when he started keeping Crouch on the bench, and yet he kept scoring for England during that time......can't Benitoss pick up on small hints like that? :butthead:

Not only the Robbie Keane thing but Defoe cost less than half the price of Keane - Pompey got 2 good deals - Liverpool sold the wrong player and bought the wrong player. He should have kept Crouch and bought Defoe. He'd still have £3m spare to buy a decent right back.

Agree Keith! Benitez's loss is certainly our gain. First time we've had two regular goalscoring forwards since the early nineties pairing of Walsh and Whittingham in the old Division 1!

Counterfeit - Glenn Johnson could have been the good right back you need as well.

Benitez does seem to make some strange signings that's for sure. I think apart from Torres, Gerrard and Carragher there's not an awful lot of players that the other 'big 3' woud want from Liverpool's team.

Well, to be honest Man U and Chelsea wouldn't want Carragher. Chelsea have their own slow centre back.
