A survey a few years ago ranked Fork Lift Truck driving as the least stressful job - so it can't be that bad!
If you've ever been on the fairground dodgems and actually tried to avoid hitting the other cars, you'll be pretty close to how easy it is to steer them. You can pretty much turn on a sixpence (to coin a phrase??).
It's over 5 years since I was anywhere near one - but I had never driven either. The courses tend to concentrate a lot on the health and safety aspects and then do a bit of driving as an afterthought.
You'll be fine - besides, I'm no where near the midlands :laugh

They're easy to operate after some training, and it's definitely good to have on the CV too. There are a few decent paying jobs at it as far as I know.
