::swear digital ::swear sky a bit of snow and you cant get a signal ;fire why the :censored: can i still get terrestial if it's that inferior. methinks they might be rushing things a bit if you can't watch telly in bad weather when thats the excact time you do want towatch it. :censored:::swear:anger:ermmm;fire

You can put a shield over the dish you know (little canopy), just make sure it is not covering the line between dish/satellite, or buy a cover like http://www.montanasatellitesupply.com/satellite_dish_cover_for_directv_18_round_p/cvr-dtv18.htm
The reason it goes off is the vibrations caused by bad weather, and the error correction cannot cope. Happens on Freeview as well.

Fortunately, a JCB digger cutting through the fibre optics happens less frequently than 3 or 4 snowflakes falling. :D
