Hi,
can anyone please tell me which are the best odds forecast to follow when looking at The Racing Post and The Sporting Life sites and explain why they are different?
For example; Super Frank is 11/2 on R.P. but 10/1 on S.L. (3.30 Lingfield, 31/12/08).
Thanks in advance.

can anyone please tell me which are the best odds forecast to follow when looking at The Racing Post and The Sporting Life sites and explain why they are different?I'd trust the RP more than Sporting Life to be honest. As for why they are different - the two sites use different staff who have different opinions on the relative chances of some runners. That's all it is, a difference of opinion. If all racing punters agreed on the chances of a horse there wouldn't be Betfair

SL is worked out by humans, RP by computer. This is the same as bookmakers having different prices for the same horse, all down to opinions, bookmaker prices are just F/c prices.

The SL racecards have the latest odds in the 'Bet' column - useful for 'on the day' comparisons.
