I use one of these at work:

The scroll wheel has become "jumpy" since the middle of last week.
Any possible reasons why this could be? Can I repair it somehow?
I deliberately didn't install the drivers for the mouse when I bought it (January).
Thanks.

What a rebel! You live life on the edge don't you :D
Not sure why that would happen John but I'd say there is no harm installing the drivers just to see if it makes any difference

If you use it at work can you not just get your IT dept to fix/replace it?

You can buy mice for 50p

I can do Mat, only our "IT dept" is technically two people within a six-person company.
I'll see what I can buy... I just can't believe it's breaking inside 2 months.
Might give them drivers an install, but I hate the software that they use, doesn't do the machine any good.

Take / send it back. It will have a 12 month guarantee. If you really give them some grief you may get a new mouse and your money back.:)
