Liverpool take a late first half lead. Sounds like an amazing goal too...

Chester are facing the drop out of the league at the moment, only drawing at Aldershot despite taking an early lead.

I know it's not premiership, but I can't be the only one with an interest in the rest of the league :D

Crewe place in League 1 looks all but over if Northampton remain in front while Carlisle look like ending Cheltenham's stay in League 1.

Brentford seem to have secured promotion to League 1

till quite tense fdor the other promotion places with Bury and Wycombe drawing and Exeter losing.

The chase fr promotion from the conference also still look precarious with both Cambridge and Burton's games currently 0-0!

vegyjones
25th April 2009, 16:19
Chester go 2-1 behind which means they have a major mountain to climb.

Brentford 3-0 up which I imagine almost guarantees promotion.

jonahjones
25th April 2009, 16:19
Salamon Kalou gives Chelsea the lead at Upton Park and Tamir Cohen's first ever goal for Bolton makes it 1-1 against Aston Villa at The Reebok.

Steve McManaman: (ManU) midfield almost non-existent when not attacking. Nani and Ronaldo on the same pitch just isn't working.

...so Fergie makes the change at half time...

Nani off - Tevez on!

Good to see him going back to the 'if you score 6 we can score 7' philosophy!

I'm just using the quote most managers say when they get a dodgy pen! :laugh One thing is clear, you cant rely on Spurs even with a 2-0 lead. :ermmm

I don't think supporters of teams do, like managers really. If they get a 'dodgy decision', they take it and rightly so because they know they won't get others that will be penalties throughout a long season. Doesnt make it less annoying if you support someone else I know but that is football and it won't change....unless they have replays. I havent seen the 'infamous pen' yet but will give an honest opinion after seeing it tonight. The reason its going to be talked so much about is because it lead to Utd's first goal and gave them momentum in the match. You wouldn't really hear about it if it was the 4th or 5th goal.

Hope they start a bit faster on Wednesday night chancer against Arsenal. :)

the thing is whether it was a penalty or not if spurs cant defend a lead its tough, they shouldnt feel sorry for themselves and carry on and saw the game out.

I think i have watched all the united games this season in all competitions. They went to pieces before the liverpool game:ermmm. That game set them back and they are only just recovering. They have been winning games but only just. The other top 4 teams were getting better each game and i was very worried:omg:. After tonight i am more confident. Arsenal scare the **** out of me when they are on form. We can't rely on stopping them but hopefully we can out score them:thumbs:rolleyes:

Nobody spotted my deliberate mistake on Saturday! There were no conference games until the Sunday!

Anyway Burton Albion finally secured promotion to the Conference despite trying to throw it away and losing to Torquay on the day!
