I know the day isn't over yet but it's been another stinker for me :(

Treading water day for me, small loss.

Which ::swear drugged the 1/5 horse? :splapme

I'm still trading on the evening racing to make it a nice break even day.....great earning bugger all for a days work.......civil servants should try it one day

Up today, reasonably significantly. Was on Hennessy at 11.5 :o)

I missed Hennessy :( Another big Lay'em winner sees that bank drop even further. I had three other winners across my other laying systems too for a fairly hefty loss on those overall. I lost a bigger chunk on the backs too.

Carelessness cost me again today. I missed five bets early in the day, four of them won. I would have had winners at 13/2, 8/1, 7/2 and 6/5 ::swear. Must do better.

How'd you miss them? Work or alcohol poisoning? :ooo

I seldom miss any these days, as you just know when you do it is profit down the drain! :splapme

I had to go out for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon. I had access to the internet to place bets but got sidetracked and forgot all about them. Lesson learned, I'll be paying more attention from now on.

I got sidetracked by coding so missed Hennessy, which would have meant I probably halved my losses for the day. Oh well.

Just checked my figures for the last week and the month as a whole.

I had assumed, based on the past few days, that the lays had been killing me but that's simply not true. I have made a fairly small loss over the past week and a smaller loss for the month of April on the lays. It's the backs that are crippling me with losses of 10 times that of the lays. I have bank barriers in place on all systems and many of them have now kicked in but in terms of backing horses this has probably been one of my worst ever months.

It's been the Jumping for Profit system that has contributed around 55% of my losses on the backs this month, which is bad when I have around 15 backing systems on the go. I switched to a ratchet staking plan on 7th March having spent ages researching it and back-checking the plan against past data, as well as evaluating other plans. It started OK and this month it has blown up in my face spectacularly. It's not as though the SR has been off either, it's been pretty normal, but all the winners have been at short odds. I make it 40 selections (to the end of 25th April) with 11 winners. But of those winners only two were odds against and the longest was 15/8. Plus winners at 1/5 (twice), 1/3, 4/11, 2/9 etc.

My results have picked up in the last couple of days, even with the lays kicking me!

Definitely not a quiet Sunday...plenty of qualifiers to get my teeth into.
