Both pretty damn clever.... the flute player has taken the sort of thing Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull has been doing for over 40 years and given it a modern twist.

Jethro Tull... isn't he a comedian?

And didn't he invent the seed drill?

Why would you even know anything about who invented the seed drill? Geek!

Why would you even know anything about who invented the seed drill? Geek! It's only because of the band named after the inventor that I know anything about it.

Jethro Tull are named after the man who invented the seed drill?

Here's another name they should have considered fior their bank...

I'm going to an amazing gig/show tonight:

Icelandic Music Through Unconventional Means

Basically - Icelandic music meets BEATBOXING... (Shlomo's the artist for you YouTubers).

I cannot wait. I just. Cannot. Wait. :D

WOW! The gig was just incredible! Think Planet Earth style soundtrack music played with violins, xylophones, pianos, keyboards, cellos, wine glasses hooked up to amplifiers. Then think of that fused with heavy duty beatboxing with/without looping layers (by that I mean recording a beat, playing it back, recording another beat over the top, playing it back with the previous, and so on) fused together.

Just amazing. It was Shlomo the beatboxer, and the Icelandic people were a four-piece group called Amiina and Valgeir Sigurddson.

They also recorded a live soundtrack to a film called Dreamcast, which is about how parts of Icelandic scenery are gradually being eroded/destroyed deliberately by humans... it was really sad. A whole area of Iceland had been completely destroyed so that the government could make plans to have a dam built to extract and produce aluminum. Very sad and moving visual clip, but the music was breathtaking.

Oh, and Romeo, the lead singer from the Magic Numbers came on as a surprise guest appearance and did a few collaborations!

Next up, I'm going to attend the UK Beatboxing Championships on 20th June. :)

Hope your sister had a great time at Derren Brown - seems ages since I saw him there now! Was it the Enigma tour? Did she enjoy it? Really hope so, he's brilliant! :)
