My go to post early today. And it's not been a good afternoon so far :(
A couple of quite big priced winners on one of my lay systems plus two more winners across the other lay systems. I'm sure the overall lays SR is way down this month...

I'm sure the overall lays SR is way down this month...46 winners from 257 so far this month which is an SR of 82.10% whereas the long term SR of the lays is 86.06% so down 4% this month which is more than enough to turn winning lay systems into losers when the prices are as long as those on the winners I have hit this month, averaging 7.30

Its been my worst month ever, I decided to inject a bit more cash into my systems at the end of april and since then its been in free fall with today being no exception- and the winners ive had have been very bad odds :ermmm ive since had to drastically reduce my stakes to protect what is now a very fragile gambling bank.
* when things hopefully pick up its going to take me ages to get back to the original level of the gambling bank, its all very demoralising :( .... I had a very conservative staking plan but this month has really been so bad the worst 20 days the system has ever historically had by massive margin) the bank has taken a big and completely unexpected hit - it feels like my dream of becoming a pro gambler is going down the toilet, but Im not giving up quite yet.

Well I had to put bets till 3pm on this morning as I was taking some of the family out for feeding (Baaa!!), and of course got great prices on the losers, and crap on the winners! :splapme In fact one winner cost me over £200 on what I could have made :ermmm
I got pretty good prices on the 2 winning lays though I've had, but I'll still have a few hundred loss for the day.
BarrelManiac, are you using Bank Barriers, as they can save a lot of money during losing runs.

yes im using bank barriers, Ive learnt so much about staking from this site over the years. I was rapidly approaching my limits I decided to ovehaul the staking to provide me with even more lastability- But even looking back at whats happened I dont regret the staking plan i had in place beforehand,- at the time I thought it was overcautious, Ive studied many years of data and there would have been no reason to have forseen such a bad run on my systems as ive just had.
I think that the 1 thing that I would have done differently would have been to inject the new money slowly into the system e.g a 10 pound cash injection per week, so still learning.
Nothing like a good winge to get it out of my system. Anyway time now for a few beers.

Since my earlier whinge I've had a clean sheet on the lays, which has helped reduce the damage somewhat

If Saxona wins the last, I think I might break-even! :)

Down around 7pts on the lays (which isn't as bad as I feared it would be halfway through the day) and down 2pts on the backs or 5.5pts if you include those systems under a bank barrier

Absolute roller coaster of a day, up on Northern Empire (got a good price!), then lost it all, won on Cadre...lost it, won on Hunting Tower...but it was all down to The Grassy in the last :anger
Down a little on the day, but not too bad.

A draw in the Newcastle-Middlesbrough game and a respectable poker session would see me through tonight and into profit for the day

Can someone explain Bank barriers a bit more ? is it a certain amount you reach and adjust your stake ? if it is do you decide the amount on whatever your happy with ?
Thanks:thumbs

A small profit on both the backs and lays for me today. There wasn't many bets on the systems I'm following though.

Feeling better today, had a terrible day but then I had a 16-1 come in on the second to last race so lets hope this is the start of a bit of luck for me... Of course I dont need good luck, just average luck will do!
